Assistance League of Santa Clarita assists Santa Clarita Valley residents in need through Operation School Bell® and our Community Outreach Philanthropic Programs.
Operation School Bell
- The program was introduced in 1991.
- Total students served through May 2025: 41,000.
icare for kids
- The program was introduced in 2014.
- Total students served through May 2025: 1,500.
Literacy Programs
The Literacy Program promotes literacy in Santa Clarita Valley Title 1 elementary schools. Students in transitional kindergarten through second grade at seven schools are provided with two books during their birthday month. Additionally, students in six other Title 1 elementary schools receive books for reading at home and at school. During the current school year, eight schools will be receiving classroom sets of novels for study and discussion at school.

Scholarships
The Scholarships program has provided students from Santa Clarita Valley high schools and College of the Canyons with financial assistance to continue their career goals after high school in academics or vocational training.

Fostering Success
Fostering Success serves students who have transitioned out of foster care and are enrolled in the Inspire Scholars program at College of the Canyons, or in Partnership for Youth served by Fostering Youth Independence (FYI). Students have access to basic needs such as clothing, eye exams/glasses, supplies and food staples, allowing them to concentrate on their educational goals.

Senior Connections
Senior Connections, formerly Family Ties, supports the senior community in Santa Clarita. The program serves homebound seniors, assists the Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center with one-time needs for their senior clients and participates in activities, such as Game Day with the Adult Day Care clients.

Teddy Bear Patrol
- The program was introduced in 1989.
- Total recipients comforted through May 2025: 15,000.
Emergency Community Assistance
Community Emergency Assistance provides for short-term and immediate needs of individuals or families experiencing a disruptive event in their lives.
- The program was introduced in 2001.
- Total community members served through May 2025: 3,100.
UkeALadies and Gents
UkeALadies and Gents provides ukulele music and singing at the Santa Clarita Valley Senior Center and various assisted living venues.
- The program was introduced in 2015.
- Total individuals served through May 2025: 1,800.
